Persecution of Kāshi  Sarvajnapeetha

Despite Kāshi being one of the most sacred cities and sought out by millions for liberation in the Ganga river, the living enlightenment ecosystem is under alarming threat by deep state elements.

The State Government of Uttar Pradesh destroyed the temple of the Kāshi Sarvajnapeetha at Manikarnika Ghat, Varanasi using heavy machinery and earth-movers.

The Hindu monks were still inside but managed to escape from death in the collapsing structure.

One monk tried to stop the heavy machinery by fastening his body to the steel rebars to protect the temple. His neck was severely damaged in this process.

The demolition was completely illegal but the Hindu monks were not able to get legal recourse.

Paramaśiva’s Promise

To uphold His promise to the people of Kāshi, Paramaśiva Himself has descended in the form of The SPH to protect this ancient tradition.

Though the sacred Mahakal Temple at Manikarnika Ghat has been destroyed, The SPH persists on to serve the kingdom. The Śri Jagadhatri Guru Peetha still stands as the primary site for carrying forth the knowledge stream of the Kāshi Sarvajnapeetha.

For its significance as the place of the death experience of The SPH, the Kāshi SJP has envisioned to be a place for the graceful exit of souls who wish to leave the physical realm in the most blissful way.
